Mission:

To provide a positive transitional living environment where Muckleshoot Tribal and Community Members recovering from alcohol dependency and drug addiction can gain the skills and support needed to be successful in their treatment programs and ultimately live independently, free from drugs and alcohol.

The Recovery House is a program of the Behavioral Health Department.  The program offers adult transitional living facilities able to accommodate eight men and eight women in the early stages of recovery from alcohol and other drugs; residents may stay for up to two years.  The facility is staffed 24 hours a day for resident support and safety.  The staff consists of chemical dependency counselors, resident aides and clerical support and they are able to assist residents as they move through the early stages of recovery, supporting them as they heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Recovery House is a "Zero Tolerance" facility; residents must remain completely clean and sober while guests of the house; residents are required to attend house meetings, 12-step/support groups, activities and other community functions.

The house Case Manager will assist residents individually through the process of recovery.  The case manager will coordinate with other out-patient providers, legal systems, support services, family and community.

To access the Recovery House Program a person needs to first register with Patient Registration at the Muckleshoot Health and Wellness Center and then go to the Behavioral Health Program to fill out a "Request for Services" form.  Determination for residency and order of placement will be based on eligibility, clinical need, risk and case history.  Requesting services does not guarantee residency.  Applicants will be notified in writing as to the status/outcome of their request for services.
